IT FELT LIKE A BROKEN SAILING VESSEL THAT NEEDED TO BE RESTORED
For this stunning apartment our client came up with the idea to transform the entire floor of an outdated guesthouse, facing the old fishing port of Grado/Italy, into a home for him and his family.
Located in a restricted and protected area, it took us more than a year to complete the designs and to get all the permissions before the renovation work started. Parts of the existing structure nearly collapsed, so they needed to be restored and adapted to meet today's requirements. Several guest rooms disappeared and were replaced by a new floor plan consisting of a large living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a study and a stunning roof terrace.
Small details and materials reflect the location also inside. The flags on the wall show several ports our client entered during his journeys in the Caribbean.
